Inspection and Diagnosis Methods
Fraunhofer IZFP Dresden (IZFP-D)
Optical technologies belong to the most essential growth drivers of industrial production. Fabrication of materials and components using optical, especially laser based production technologies is one essential contributor. On the other hand, microsystem engineering and thin film technologies call for diagnostic techniques which do not only work nondestructively, but also contactless and highly resolving in space and time. The same is true for medical diagnosis and therapy. Optical techniques based on a semiconductor laser as radiation source combined with opto-mechanical components for beam guidance and opto-electronic detectors rest the patient, are highly sensitive and save costs.
Topical activities:
- Nano Raman Microscopy
- Optical Coherence Tomography
- Micro and Nano X-ray-Tomography
- Nanodiamonds for cancer diagnosis and corrosion protection
- Spectroscopy and Luminescence
